SOCIO DESIGN TM FOUNDATION
Between Architecture and Sociology is the recognition of spatial impact on the psyche of society. To understand this impact fully is perhaps impossible. But to understand that it exists is the opportunity to use design to change the world.

Encouraging social change through design-based dialog.

Congratulations to Robert Paul LeFrancois Houmoller, Winner of Our November Competition! Sociology of Green
Robert: "The EL//MSF project is an experiment whereby the idea of creating sustainable communities is applied to an area of East London which is now socially, ethnically and economically divided. It investigates a means of nurturing communities, not just for the sake of communities, but as a way of creating a more environmentally (as well as socially and economically) sustainable East London. It also aims to have at least some humour - humour and delight are connections that the architect has with the end user, and are in my opinion vastly underrated in the
way architects are taught to think."
